Job Description The Laser Operator position is responsible for all job tasks associated with the cutting of the parts and the proper removal and identification of the cut parts from the cutting table and packaging, including but not limited to: ensuring proper tech table values, nozzle selection, material checks, cut quality, transformations and product inspections. As the Laser Operator, you are responsible for the quality and quantity of the parts coming off the table(s). Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating laser cutting machines strongly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills related to laser operation, including materials, feed/speed settings, nozzles, and laser lens/consumables
Proficiency in uploading and modifying laser program parameters to maximize cutting efficiency
Ability to perform daily preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning optics/lenses and monitoring gas levels
Solid understanding of laser cutting parameters with the ability to visually identify cutting issues and apply effective problem-solving techniques to adjust settings accordingly
General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
