3rd shift Machine Operator/Forklift Opportunity Join a Growing Manufacturing Team with Strong Advancement Opportunities Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a stable career with room to grow? We are seeking dependable Machine Operators to join our production team and help manufacture high-quality plastic compounds used by customers across a variety of industries. In this role, you'll operate industrial mixing and extrusion equipment, monitor product quality, and play a key part in keeping production running safely and efficiently. What You'll Do As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for producing quality products while maintaining safety and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor industrial mixing and extrusion equipment. Follow production formulas and process instructions to ensure products are manufactured accurately. Read traveler sheets, production orders, and process documentation to determine the correct materials and quantities needed for each run. Measure, weigh, and add raw materials according to established specifications. Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and optimize performance. Monitor products throughout the production process, from mixing and extrusion through packaging and staging. Perform quality checks to verify product size, color, shape, hardness, packaging, labeling, and other customer requirements. Complete equipment cleanouts between production runs to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity. Accurately document production activities, quality checks, and process information. Operate forklifts and safely move materials throughout the facility when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and continuously improve processes. What We're Looking For We're looking for individuals who take pride in their work, pay close attention to detail, and have experience operating manufacturing equipment. Required Qualifications Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to read and follow production instructions, work orders, and process documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to troubleshoot minor machine adjustments and maintain process consistency. Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 55 pounds occasionally. Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience in plastics manufacturing, compounding, extrusion, or a similar industrial environment. Forklift experience. Experience with production reporting systems and manufacturing documentation. High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Work Environment This position is located in a plastics processing and extrusion manufacturing facility. Team members work with industrial equipment in an active production environment and should be comfortable around manufacturing noise and plastic-processing odors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
