This position is in our materials testing laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial equipment and machinery to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. Your expertise in machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and precision measurement will ensure that production runs smoothly, meeting all quality standards. This position offers opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your skills directly impact product excellence and operational success. Responsibilities Operate a wide range of machinery including CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, milling machines, and saws. You will machine a large variety of materials including hardened alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel and super alloys. Set up equipment according to technical specifications, blueprints, and production documents. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards in production environments. Collaborate with team members on materials handling, tooling setup, packaging, and assembly line processes to optimize efficiency. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machines (including CNC milling machines and CNC lathes) or other industrial manufacturing equipment in a factory setting. Understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and shop math. Familiarity with programming languages such as Fanuc or CAM programming is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and experience implementing best practices for machine operation. Hands-on experience with industrial troubleshooting, tooling setup, and precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers. Ability to interpret production documents accurately while maintaining high-quality output.
