Machine Operator

Our client is currently seeking a dependable Machine Operator (Dry Deck) in Harrisburg, PA . This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and can remain focused throughout a full shift. The Machine Operator will be responsible for handling raw materials, operating equipment safely, and supporting the movement of product through the production process. Candidates should be physically capable, reliable, and prepared to work in a cold, wet, and noisy environment.

The Day-to-Day:

Load and unload raw materials into automatic dryers according to customer specifications. Manually dump product directly onto feed conveyors for 8 hours or more, depending on production volume. Push and pull barrels on a roller deck throughout the shift. Safely operate hoists, dryers, and related production equipment. Transfer filled baskets of product in and out of dryers. Ensure product moves properly from the shaker to the dryer basket and then to the production line. Handle products that may be between 32 and 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Maintain basic housekeeping standards in the work area. Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to stand for the full shift, which may be 8 hours or more. Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Comfortable climbing stairs or stepping onto a platform several times per shift. Able to work in a noisy, wet, and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and up to 6 consecutive days when necessary. Strong attention to safety, quality, and production standards. Reliable attendance and a solid work ethic are required.

Pay Rate:

$15.00 per hour
