Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for consistently complying with all safety work rules and reinforcing Safety as a Core Value. The role ensures that all Food Safety and Quality-related policies, procedures, and activities are followed uniformly to reduce product and process variability. The purpose of the Robotic Palletizing Operator is to monitor robotic palletizing machines while following all safety policies and procedures as they collect and separate cases of egg patties and/or omelets according to product SKU and production line. This role ensures that cases are not mixed on pallets. The Distribution department, customers, and consumers benefit from the Palletizing Operator's work by ensuring orders are sorted accurately and correctly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to all safety policies, including LOTO, PPE, PIT, and housekeeping requirements. Assume personal responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. Always ensure regulatory compliance. Operate robotic palletizing machines, ensuring cases are properly stacked according to product SKU and line. Ensure all full pallets are properly indexed and wrapped with plastic. Accurately enter required data into the SAP system. Maintain frequent communication with leads and/or supervisors. Ensure empty pallets, slip sheets, and other necessary supplies are readily available. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed. Verify that products meet required specifications and take corrective action when necessary. Manually stack cases of product as needed. Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the palletizing area, ensuring debris and dirt are promptly removed. Follow safe work practices, GMP, and HACCP guidelines; maintain sanitary conditions and product quality to support SQF Level 3 certification. Report any conditions or practices that may negatively impact food safety, food quality, or employee safety. Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating professionally with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, and to interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification. Valid driver's license. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
Ability to safely lift up to 55 lbs. when handling CHEP pallets for hand-stacking finished outgoing products. Whenever possible, two (2) people should lift or move pallets. Employees should never lift beyond their personal capability. Ability to continuously lift up to 30 lbs. when hand-stacking cases of finished product. Ability to work independently when required. Basic reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Strong mechanical aptitude. High attention to detail. Ability to work indoors in a continuously cold environment. Ability to climb and traverse stairs. Ability to wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Ability to adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures established for robotic palletizing equipment. Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Operator Certification. Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential job duties. Ability to operate specific equipment and tools. Proficiency in computer usage, including experience with spreadsheet and word-processing software.
