Job Overview This position requires access to information that is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent residents, persons granted asylee status in the U.S., or persons admitted into the U.S. as a refugee. Job Requirements Set up and operate extrusion equipment according to production schedules and work instructions. Monitor machine performance and adjust process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and material feed rates to ensure product quality. Inspect products throughout the production process and perform quality checks using required measuring equipment. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Load raw materials and monitor material usage. Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and timely. Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and housekeeping standards. Perform routine machine maintenance and assist maintenance personnel with repairs when necessary. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies. Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and quality matters to supervisors and team members. Assist with changeovers, startup, and shutdown of extrusion lines. Package, label, and prepare finished products according to specifications. What your background should look like Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred. Experience operating industrial machinery and production equipment is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of extrusion processes and manufacturing principles. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production schedules, and specifications. Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and scales. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic math and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Good communication and documentation skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and stooping. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment. Work Environment Manufacturing and production facility. May require overtime, shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes is required. Performance Expectations Meet established production targets and efficiency standards. Maintain quality requirements and minimize scrap rates. Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations. Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and teamwork. Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts. COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.00
- $23.00/Hour + 10% Shift Differential for working on 2nd Shift. (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
