The Packaging and Shipping Technician reports directly to the Production and Inventory Manager and is primarily responsible for packaging, labeling, and preparing company products at Penn Health Group for shipment and delivery to medical marijuana dispensaries throughout Pennsylvania. This position will also be responsible for operating company vehicles and completing scheduled deliveries to dispensaries across the state, which may require overnight travel and multi-day delivery routes. The Packaging and Shipping Technician must comply with all applicable OSHA, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and company policies and procedures while performing packaging, shipping, transportation, and delivery responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Weigh, portion, assemble, package, and label various products. Assist the Packaging Lead in ensuring adequate inventory and appropriate par levels are packaged each shift/day. Adhere to established manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and quality-control processes. Ensure product, dispensary, and tamper-proof labels are correctly placed on each product. Operate packaging and other equipment as needed. Maintain accurate daily production, packaging, shipping, and delivery records and logs. Prepare completed orders for shipment and delivery to medical marijuana dispensaries. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload company products and materials. Operate company vehicles to make scheduled deliveries to medical marijuana dispensaries throughout Pennsylvania. Follow assigned delivery routes, schedules, security procedures, and all applicable company policies and regulatory requirements. Complete delivery documentation and obtain required signatures or confirmations at each delivery location. Communicate professionally with dispensary personnel and Penn Health Group management regarding deliveries, schedules, and any issues that arise during transportation. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and general condition of company delivery vehicles. Report any vehicle, product, delivery, or security issues promptly to management. Travel throughout Pennsylvania as required to complete delivery routes. Overnight travel and multi-day delivery routes may be required based on business needs. Perform other packaging, shipping, warehouse, production, and operational duties as assigned. Candidates Must Possess the Following Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to complete repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Basic mathematical, language, and reasoning skills. Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records. Clean and acceptable driving record with no major violations, suspensions, or other driving-related issues that would prevent the employee from operating a company vehicle. Ability to successfully complete any required motor vehicle record (MVR) review. Ability and willingness to travel throughout Pennsylvania, including overnight and multi-day travel when required. Experience in the medical cannabis, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, logistics, or regulated industry is preferred. Physical Activities and Additional Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Able to stand and remain active for extended periods, including up to 8 hours per day. Able to safely load and unload products and materials from company vehicles. Ability to sit and drive for extended periods as required by delivery routes. Required to work with chemicals and wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing. Ability to successfully pass a background check. Ability to successfully complete any required driving record/MVR review. Ability to work the scheduled 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. shift, while understanding that delivery routes may require additional hours, schedule flexibility, early departures, late returns, and overnight travel. Must be able to travel throughout Pennsylvania and stay overnight when required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and occasionally climb stairs or ladders; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
