I.
Function Summary:
Responsible for operating the enrobing and cooling tunnels that are used to coat and temper our chocolate confections. Also responsible for operating melters and tempering units as well as recording critical quality information throughout the shift to ensure the operation is running withing specified parameters. Responsible for product floor inventory based on daily usage and orders.

Primary Job Functions:
Work in a safe and efficient manner. Follow all quality and GMP guidelines at all times. Thorough working knowledge of Enrober operational procedures. Adjust functional devices and control instruments on enrobers and tempering units for proper operation. Determine by regular inspections, the repair and maintenance necessary to prevent breakdowns. Fill chocolate melters, as needed. Maintain and record all critical quality information relevant to operating enrobers (Temperatures, Weights, temper of chocolate). Report any needed repairs immediately to shift manager and maintenance technician. Using our ERP system (ROSS) issue raw material to production jobs as needed. Responsible for issuing material/product to the correct job along with returning any leftover material/product to the proper LPN and Lot number before a new order starts and ends. Communicate with the kitchen and packaging via the Microsoft Teams application if there is any downtime or the estimated finish time of an order. Work with a can-do attitude and what can I do to help. Always keep work area and enrobing operation neat and clean. Make necessary repairs on equipment where maintenance is not needed. Visually look for any leaks or missing parts on machine. Report to maintenance immediately for a work order. Assist maintenance and sanitation associates with making equipment or product changeovers. Assist department manager with production scheduling and associate assignments. Initiate purchase orders for parts or supplies needed in department. III.
Authority:
To make decisions concerning product quality. To direct hourly associates concerning job assignments. To direct hourly associates on what to specifically look for on product quality and how pretzels, chips, and grahams should go through enrobers. Requirements IV.
Performance and Accountability:
Before starting production on an order verify: correct chocolate, chocolate is within temper, ALL material is issued to job, and weights are within specified range on product chart. Pay attention during production of the inside of the enrobers for any noise, broken wires, or blockage through the piping. Prepare for future orders while current orders are finishing. (
Ex:
Bring out pretzels and scan the LPN/Lot#) Timely changeovers while keeping up high quality standards. DO NOT start production if chocolate is out of temper. V.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. 1-3 years related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination or education and experience. Ability to read, write and comprehend in English Ability to do simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) While performing the duties of this job the manager must be willing to stand and walk over an eight (8) hour shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, either physically or with powered industrial material handling equipment
