Description Position Summary NextWave Industries is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating saw equipment to accurately cut materials according to production specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, possess strong measurement skills, and demonstrate a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Saw Operation & Production Operate and maintain saw equipment to accurately cut materials according to production requirements.
Review work orders, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate material preparation.
Perform machine setup and adjustments as needed to achieve precise cuts and maintain quality standards.
Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns promptly.
Inspect finished materials to verify compliance with specifications and quality requirements. Material Handling & Inventory Move, stage, and organize materials for production.
Collaborate with warehouse and production personnel to ensure material availability.
Assist with inventory control and material tracking as needed.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety policies. Quality & Safety Measure and inspect materials using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
Follow established quality standards and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and quality concerns to supervision. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.
Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or saw operation experience.
Experience operating industrial saw equipment.
Forklift experience or certification.
Experience reading blueprints, work orders, or technical drawings.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including calipers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read and follow production specifications.
Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a production environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, and lift materials.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
