The Machine Operator 5 reports to the Packaging Manager and is a cross-functional role responsible for operating all packaging lines and high-speed equipment within our coffee and tea manufacturing facility. This position also supports basic quality assurance (QA) checks, sanitation duties, and equipment troubleshooting. This team member plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, and a safe, clean production environment.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate all primary packaging lines and high-speed automated machinery across the production floor Perform daily equipment setup, changeovers, shutdowns, and minor adjustments in line with production plans and operational protocols. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), as well as quality and food safety requirements. Monitor machine performance and quickly address jams, faults, or stoppages to reduce downtime. Proactively identify and execute quality control measures as needed, including but not limited to: Adjust heat settings to resolve packaging issues. Load and adjust tape machines for different product configurations. Input and thread case labels into labeling equipment. Update case count settings. Set up and adjust film registration to maintain package appearance. Enter data into the pack printer, thread printer ribbon, and adjust printer positioning for proper alignment. Thread and adjust valves through the valve applier. Conduct in-process quality checks, including weights, seal integrity, and package presentation. Verify all bottles are sealed properly and visually presentable. Ensure case labels are applied straight, and pallets are stacked uniformly. Transport raw materials and finished goods using manual and powered pallet jacks, hoppers, or forklifts. Assist with preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, equipment inspection, and basic part replacements; collaborate with maintenance technicians for more complex repairs. Complete basic sanitation procedures for machinery and work areas in accordance with company hygiene standards and food safety regulations. Assist with training and mentoring less experienced operators as needed. Strict adherence to all company policies, All other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Reliable attendance in accordance with company standards. Must be at least hand jack certified or willing to train and acquire proper certification to prove safe operation. Any forklift certification (Standup, Reach, sit down) is a plus Ability to follow detailed, written, or oral instructions using sound judgment. Problem-solving skills for standardized situations involving basic variables. Proficiency in reading and interpreting basic documentation including production sheets, operator checklists, safety and training materials. Competence in filling out required documentation and understanding data line sheet systems. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication in standard units of measurement. Comfortable performing data entry and barcode scanning. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime. The ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safely climb up and down stairs and stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to use hand tools and fingering/handling to operate buttons/levers of equipment to perform quality checks during the run, weights, seals, and appearance of package by squeezing and physically handling packs. Ability to lift up to 35lbs and carry 25lbs. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, squat and other movements as needed to stack product and to clean/maintain equipment. Ability to balance and reach up and forward up to 48'' and overhead up to 84'' to access equipment, machinery, or product. Tolerance for variable temperatures and frequent exposure to production machinery and equipment.COMPANY PROFILE
