Job Summary
Press Operations
Digital Press Setup & Operation
- Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust cut sheet and web-fed digital presses (inkjet and toner), including media loading, queue management, calibration, and adherence to job ticket specifications for color, quantity, and finishing requirements.
- Transfer files electronically from network systems to production equipment while ensuring accuracy and completeness of production files.
- Operate and manage high-end production equipment (segment 5+), including digital presses, inkjet systems, and related production technologies.
In-Process Quality Control & Calibration - Perform continuous quality checks including color accuracy, density, registration, image artifacts, and print consistency throughout production runs.
- Execute calibration, profiling, and output adjustments to ensure products meet design intent, original specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct final inspections to verify finished products meet customer expectations and operational tolerances.
Press Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Conduct routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and first-level troubleshooting of print, mechanical, and software issues.
- Coordinate with service providers and escalate complex equipment failures as needed.
- Maintain inventory and ordering of equipment parts, consumables, and production supplies.

Essential Functions
Print Job Management:
Oversee the processing of a wide range of printed materials, including forms, pamphlets, reports, posters, flyers, signage, and marketing materials, ensuring efficient and timely routing and completion.
High-End Equipment Operation:
Operate and manage high-end equipment as needed (segment 5+), including inkjet presses, digital printers, bindery, shipping & fulfillment, quality checking, final inspections, equipment service & maintenance, and facility maintenance.
Customer Satisfaction:
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by accurately preparing, inspecting, compiling, and assembling projects in a timely manner.
Deadline Adherence:
Meet deadlines by working at a steady pace while maintaining high-quality, error-free output.
Reporting:
Maintain all required reporting tools and documentation related to print jobs and equipment.
Equipment Calibration:
Calibrate equipment to ensure color and quality consistency, matching original specifications.
File Transfer:
Transfer files electronically from the network to printing equipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Error-Free Production:
Demonstrate thorough operational knowledge of equipment to produce error-free and high-quality work.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues with equipment, and manage inventory and ordering of equipment parts.

Demonstrated experience and expertise working with printers and finishing equipment
Knowledge of pre-flight requirements for printing

Three years of print production experience
Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for the employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors require the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $20.62 - $30.51
