Job Summary:
FUNCTIONS
  • Sets up and cleans molding machines according to standard practices.
  • Uses HMI, mold controller, material conveyance system, water heater, water supply, pumps, etc.
  • Adjusts processes, with guidance from the Sr. Technician, to produce products within specifications.
  • Heats, timing, speeds, minor mold adjustments, etc.
  • Assists with automation equipment setup as needed.
  • Closing machines, box fillers, assembly machines, picker arms, hopper loaders, lining machines, diverters, etc.
  • Troubleshoots process and equipment issues.
  • Performs material and product changeovers.
  • Enters data into ERP and databases as required.
  • Trains operators as needed.
  • Communicates requirements, changes, and issues to other departments and shifts as required.
  • Assists in the evaluation of non-conforming material and the corrective action process.
  • Works with Engineering and the Tool Room to maintain cavitation standards.
  • Is a steward for efficient material, labor, and energy usage.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices.
  • Ensures compliance with all processes, procedures, documentation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ensures material and inventory transactions are completed accurately.
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement. Must Haves
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Molding industry
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical
  • Safety focused
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures
