Job Description

Job Title Machine Operator (12 Hour Night Shift) Position Overview Position Overview The Operator is responsible for operating the machine in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications ensuring that a quality product is being produced. Responsibilities Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times Inspect assigned job at the beginning of every shift and after each break. Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. Must be able to lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to twelve continuous hours. Communicate any problem or concerns to the supervisor in a timely fashion. Properly identify yarn packages for lot running on assigned lines. Perform all job procedure. Patrol job and make sure all positions are running. Communicate any problems to the supervisor related to quality or run-ability problems. Label yarn for identification purposes. Repair breakouts immediately. Assist with change over following proper procedures. Initial labels prior to putting on finished package. Report any mechanical problems by notifying the supervisor and technician assigned to the area. Follow waste prevention procedures. Maintain housekeeping standards.
