GPS Machine Control Operator (Dozer & Excavator) - Columbia, SC (Local + Statewide Projects) Superior Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a company based out of Columbia, SC . This position offers a strong mix of local work in the Columbia area and opportunities to work on projects throughout South Carolina , providing consistency along with variety in your work environment. $105/day per diem is provided for jobsites located more than 72 miles from your residence .

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM | Saturday work as needed

$105/day for jobsites 72+ miles from home As a GPS Machine Control Operator (Dozer & Excavator), you will: Operate GPS-equipped dozers and excavators safely and efficiently Perform rough and finish grading, trenching, and site preparation Assist with pipe laying and underground utility installation Work on the ground performing manual labor as needed Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, grade stakes, and elevations Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Follow all safety policies and wear PPE correctly

Qualifications:

3-5+ years operating dozers and/or excavators GPS machine-control experience required Pipe laying or underground utilities experience preferred Strong grading skills (rough and finish) Ability to read site plans and elevations Willingness to perform manual labor Comfortable working on both local and out-of-town projects Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Must be eligible to work in the United States Must pass background check & drug screen Proper use of PPE is required: steel-toe boots, hard hat, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, gloves
