Job Description
Machine Operators for a manufacturing facility producing drill bits . In this role, you will operate and monitor production equipment, perform quality checks, and keep production running to safety, quality, and output standards. Operators must be comfortable working in a very oily environment and be able to manage multiple machines at one time . Openings are available on all three shifts with 8-10 hour shift schedules . Overtime is required. Pay is based on experience . Pay Pay rate depends on experience Shifts 1st Shift (8-10 hours) 2nd Shift (8-10 hours) 3rd Shift (8-10 hours) Overtime required based on production needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate production machines used to manufacture drill bits (as trained) Monitor machine cycles and part flow to maintain quality and productivity Run and monitor multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining production and safety expectations Load/unload parts and materials; stage work-in-process to keep machines running Perform in-process inspections and visual checks; use measuring tools/gauges as required Document production counts, scrap, downtime, and quality results (paperwork and/or basic computer entry) Perform routine housekeeping/clean-up and basic machine care in a high-oil production area Identify defects or equipment issues and communicate them promptly to the lead/supervisor/quality team Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions Qualifications Required Mechanical background / mechanical aptitude Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Willingness and ability to work overtime as required Ability to stand for a full shift and perform repetitive tasks Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work safely in a very oily manufacturing environment Preferred Manufacturing experience (machine operation, production, machining, grinding, inspection, etc.) Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or comparators PPE / Dress Code Requirements Slip- and oil-resistant steel-toe footwear required No sweatpants or leggings allowed onsite (must follow site dress code requirements)
