SUMMARY:
Extrudes raw rubber into various glass run sections awaiting distribution to molding operation.
SHIFT SCHEDULES
2nd Shift 3pm - 11:00pm & 3rd Shift 11:00pm - 7:00 am Overtime Available $0.75 shift premium for 2nd shift and $1.00 shift premium for 3rd shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates all equipment within the department according to work instructions, including extruders (rubber, sponge, and dual durometer). Wire forming process payoff (accumulator, roll former, heating unit, and closing unit). Glue/flock application. Coating/Primer application. Printer application. Various computerized cut units. Computer input of performance data. Insertion/and extraction check. Temperature and fpm adjustments passed on hardness testing. Daily cleaning and PM of assigned equipment. Rotates regularly through all operations after receiving proper training. Uses a variety of gages and measuring devices to accurately measure and inspect in process and finished product. Performs SPC in operations where necessary. Includes graphing samples, and calculating required information. Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems. Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through designated channels. Verifies the implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory activities, including internal quality audits. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
May be required to operate PC and associated software.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
If required to operate a forklift they must have a Fork Truck Operators License.
