Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery, including CNC machines, stamping presses, flexo presses, and fabrication equipment, to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining optimal production flow, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor various manufacturing machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and flexo presses to meet production specifications. Set up machines according to technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders using CAD/CAM programming tools. Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards. Adjust machine parameters and tooling as needed to optimize performance and product quality. Conduct troubleshooting on mechanical and electronic issues related to Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CNC systems. Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, machine settings, and quality checks. Assist with materials handling, packaging, assembly line tasks, and fabrication processes as required. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating heavy equipment such as forklift trucks and welding tools. Support maintenance activities by performing basic repairs or notifying maintenance personnel of issues. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Skills Proficiency in operating CNC programming software and CAM programming for machining operations. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication, tooling setup, and machine calibration. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLC systems, CAD software like SolidWorks or similar platforms. Experience with various manufacturing equipment including stamping presses, press brakes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and welding tools. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings. Skilled in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Knowledge of factory safety standards and materials handling procedures. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments. Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or electronic issues efficiently.
