Job Description

Overview The Receiving / Refurb Assembler is responsible for receiving returned products and performing refurbishment activities to prepare units for resale or shipment. This position involves inspecting, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, testing, and packaging products while ensuring accurate documentation and coordination with the shipping department. Responsibilities Receive returned merchandise from UPS, FedEx, and various trucking companies. Verify whether returned products are Product Without Paperwork (PWOP) or include a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Unbox and analyze returned units to determine refurbishment requirements. Disassemble machines as necessary for cleaning, inspection, or repair. Clean components by blowing out and/or washing parts in accordance with established procedures. Reassemble units to required specifications, accurately documenting any parts pulled from stock. Test refurbished units to confirm proper operation and functionality. Repackage and label finished units, placing them in designated areas for shipping or storage. Prepare and provide all required refurbishment and receiving documentation to the Assistant Manager at the end of each workday. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required Basic mechanical, assembly, or warehouse experience preferred
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in refurbishment, assembly, or equipment testing Familiarity with inventory or parts tracking systems
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Basic hand tool and equipment usage Accurate documentation and recordkeeping Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to lift, move, and handle products in a warehouse environment
