Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Senior Extrusion Process Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of plastics extrusion processes. This energetic position demands a proactive approach to maintaining high-quality production standards, troubleshooting complex machinery, and implementing process improvements. As a key contributor, you will leverage your extensive plastics production experience and mechanical expertise to optimize extrusion operations, uphold safety protocols, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Operate and monitor extrusion machinery, including plastics extrusion lines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC lathes, press brake machines, and robotic systems to minimize downtime. Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on extrusion equipment and related machinery to sustain peak operational efficiency. Utilize hand tools and machining skills for assembly, repairs, and adjustments of equipment components. Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across the production line. Handle materials safely within warehouse environments, including materials handling and forklift operation, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Support engineering troubleshooting efforts by diagnosing mechanical or electrical faults in extrusion systems or ancillary equipment. Training team members on machine operation, safety procedures, measurement techniques, and quality inspection standards. Qualifications Proven plastics extrusion experience with a strong understanding of plastics blow molding, injection molding, and production processes. Extensive knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting including PLCs, CNC machines, robotic systems, and press brake machines. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments for machining and quality control. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality inspection purposes. Familiarity with safety protocols related to manufacturing environments; committed to maintaining a safe work area at all times. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot engineering or industrial equipment issues efficiently. Warehouse experience including materials handling and forklift operation certification is preferred but not mandatory. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments are essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
