Batch Maker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Batch Maker. You will play a crucial role in reviewing assigned formulas for chemical and packaging requirements, ensuring proper sequence of reactions and mixing. Join our team to complete assigned batches in the allotted time while adhering to high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Review assigned formulas for chemical and packaging requirements, ensuring proper sequence of reactions and mixing. Retrieve ingredients as indicated on the formula, ensuring only QC approved ingredients are used. Accurately measure ingredients and record substitutions, over-pours, etc., ensuring supervisor approval is obtained. Monitor equipment and observe production throughout the batch process. Take ownership and notify warehouse/supervisor of missing raw materials needed to complete the batch. Package approved batches and label all finished product containers. Stock supplies and label containers of raw materials when needed. Use equipment that is in proper working condition and perform routine maintenance on equipment as required. Clean, sanitize and inspect tools, pumps, tanks, pipelines, and other equipment. Complete end-of-day procedures including restocking raw materials, housekeeping, and controlling and documenting waste. Maintain a clean and safe work area, and adhere to safety regulations and procedures, understanding the hazards of handling various chemicals. Work Environment The work is carried out in a general manufacturing environment focused on soap making. The plant is smaller but temperature-controlled, with strong fragrances from soap production. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.36 - $21.36/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
