Job Description

Brim's Snack Foods has open ings for skilled Machine Operators on 1st & 2nd Shift. Previous experience working in food manufacturing and/or working with packaging machine equipment is a plus! Pay rates are dependent upon shift and relevant work experience. (Please note that 1st & 2nd shift operators work 12 hours per day, 4 -5 days per week.)
Summary of Position:
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, follows Company policies for worker safety and food safety.
  • Is familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform essential job.
  • Prepares slurry batches.
  • Checks moisture and coverage.
  • Set-up machines and clean parts for the extruder and popcorn machinery.
  • Uses all slurry before shutting machine down.
  • Completes all required food safety and production-related documentation throughout every shift by utilizing RedZone. All documentation and RedZone checks must be completed within the specified time frames.
  • Helps to ensure food safety and quality of all products.
  • Removes all trash from work area at the end of shift.
  • Ability to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and operations.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Must have the ability to read instructions and use simple math on an eighth-grade level
  • Must be able to use basic hand-held measuring tools
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year factory-related experience as an Operator. Bagger / packaging machine operator experience preferred Forklift License preferred but not required Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Employees will be required to perform other duties as requested. Employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a urine drug screen and criminal background report.

$19.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 - 60.0 per week
