Full Job Description Job Summary:
Sets-up, operates, and adjusts equipment within the extrusion department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets-up and adjusts all equipment within the extrusion department. Maintains system, as required by the production schedule, to ensure an uninterrupted process. Material handles, per the production schedule. Operates forklift when necessary. Allocates Associates to designated machines to ensure a smooth flow of product through the extrusion process. Sets up and adjusts the ABB Robot. Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly PM's. Follows all safety rules including the use of hoists or other safety devices when available. Performs all functions required in SAP. Performs preventive maintenance per schedule. Performs all safety checks (forklift and machine). Maintains 5S standards. Performs other duties, as requested or required.
Accountabilities:
Accountable for operation and maintenance of extrusion process in accordance with production requirements and documented procedures. Train personnel as needed.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude and high level of hand/eye coordination. Ability to operate forklift. Capable of standing, bending, and stooping for long periods of time throughout the defined shift. Ability to work with various tools used in repairing machines. Moderate decision-making and problem solving capabilities. Ability to lift eighty (80) pounds.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing facility. High noise level.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or GED. On-the-job, in-house training must be completed. Must be able to demonstrate skillful use and knowledge of hand tools for machine repair and adjustment.
