Shift Scheduled Shift:

Overview:
This position, Production Machine Operator is responsible for operating production machines to produce concrete products.
Essential Functions:
Operate equipment (MBK, Packerhead, Vibromac) efficiently to produce concrete products from raw material to yard stage Inspect the quality of products according to standards Assist in maintaining accurate and timely production goals Monitor the operations of machinery and associated equipment and report any concerns or malfunctions Perform machine set-up and clean-up and other functions associated with job changes Maintain housekeeping in assigned area Cross train on other aspects of production process Perform other duties as assigned Required Education and experience: Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment required. Experience in the precast concrete/pipe manufacturing industry preferred Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, machine operating and maintenance instructions Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of the position Current Driver's License High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred Must be able to perform basic math. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Will work in varied outdoor environments (in all weather conditions•heat, cold, wet, humid, dry and/or dusty conditions). Exposure to cement, and other raw materials. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 75 pounds. Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language (Bilingual a plus) Must be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. OT will be required as needed. Scheduled shift hours are subject to change to meet business needs. This position occasionally requires weekend work.
