Packaging Operator

•Nightshift Req #3785 7777 SUTTON RD, Baytown, TX 77523, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 1:00 AM Purpose The Packaging Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating automated packaging equipment to ensure products are packaged, documented, and stored according to quality, safety, and operational standards. This role supports production goals by maintaining productivity, monitoring equipment performance, ensuring product quality, retaining required samples, and keeping the work area clean and organized. The Packaging Operator collaborates closely with the Packaging Lead and Packaging Supervisor to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), troubleshoot minor equipment issues, and provide operational flexibility by supporting other packaging and forklift functions as business needs require. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect an appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below . Essential Functions Record product, packaging, and other information on specific forms and warehouse management systems Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE. Maintain productivity and quality levels as set by the Packaging Supervisor. Conduct visual checks of machinery and escalate any issues to appropriate management. Keep all areas clean of any resin during your shift Identify damages and report overages/shortages for quality deficiencies. Be able to step into the Production Forklift Driver and/or Packaging Associate role as business needs Ensure samples are retained per SOP Responsible for the automated packaging line activities Able to troubleshoot minor malfunctions/make adjustments as needed Collaborate with Packaging Supervisor and Packaging lead on production goals/KPIs All other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Not Applicable Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA) To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. Certifications Education :

High school diploma/GED (required)

Experience :

Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse and/or packaging environment (Required) Minimum 1 year of experience driving forklift (required) double forklift (preferred) Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to departmental work instructions and procedures. (Required) Functional knowledge of a production environment (Required) Functional knowledge of handling rail cars (Preferred) Basic computer skills (Required) Entry-level proficiency with technology, including the ability to learn and effectively use business software, mobile devices and operation systems (Required) Knowledge of proper PPE requirements Demonstrates excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization. (Required)

Must be able to read, write and speak English (required) bilingual English-Spanish (preferred) Work Environment / Conditions The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise. Ability to work in varying temperatures, including non-climate-controlled environment, with exposure to heat, humidity, and cold temperatures depending upon season Physical Requirements / Demands The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must have adequate vision, including color vision, to identify materials, labels, and safety indicators. Must be able to work extended periods in a hot, noisy, and physically demanding environment.
