Position Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for operating production machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining product quality and equipment performance. This position performs equipment inspections, basic troubleshooting and mechanical adjustments, quality checks, material handling, production documentation, and general housekeeping. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform pre-production inspections of machinery and equipment, including calibration, cleaning, and basic repairs or adjustments when necessary.
Operate production equipment according to established work methods, procedures, and safety standards.
Perform required quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and standards.
Feed and handle raw materials used in the production process.
Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues during the shift to maintain proper equipment operation.
Report mechanical problems promptly to the Maintenance Department when additional support or repairs are required.
Assist other Machine Operators and production team members as needed.
Complete and maintain accurate records for pre- and post-production inspections, equipment, tools, and finished products.
Apply labels to finished products according to established work methods and production requirements.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Support production goals while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Technical degree or technical training is a plus.
Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic knowledge of machinery, equipment operation, and mechanical fundamentals.
Ability to understand and follow written work instructions and production procedures.
Ability to complete simple production and inspection forms accurately.
Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
Strong attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Dependable and willing to work the required shift. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment, including: Lift, move, or drag objects weighing up to 90 lbs.
Stand for prolonged periods.
Frequently bend at the waist to perform work.
Regularly go up and down stairs and folding/portable stairs.
Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the work shift.
