Job Description

Machine Operator Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, operating machinery efficiently, making adjustments for various materials, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring quality standards are met. This position plays a key role in meeting production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Key Responsibilities Communicate daily with the Supervisor, Lead Person, and Gatekeeper regarding schedules, priorities, rush orders, samples, remakes, and production needs. Operate and adjust machinery to maintain optimal performance and quality output. Perform daily preventive maintenance tasks according to training and authorization requirements. Report machine breakdowns, quality concerns, and recurring production issues to leadership. Complete daily production schedules while maintaining quality standards. Accurately document preventive maintenance activities, production quantities, downtime, and quality control information. Monitor raw material usage and notify leadership when supplies require replenishment. Follow and promote all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies. Demonstrate reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled breaks. Maintain a clean work environment by following housekeeping and 5S standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Person. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to pull Combination, Utility, and Special Packages from P-Ticket labels. Ability to read and interpret cabinet prints and drawings. Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Ability to accurately read a measuring tape. Ability to distinguish and identify colors. Basic computer skills; training will be provided as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency in meeting production goals. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education. 2-3 years of manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred. Previous machine operation experience is highly desirable. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to work in a manufacturing/factory environment. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators in designated areas. Why Join Us?
