Mill Operator

(Cabinet MFG, moulding MFG or machine shop experience is a plus) Previous experience working in a warehouse and forklift preferred. Strong knowledge of woodworking processes, machinery and materials. Strong mathematic skills. Have a team player with a Can-do Attitude! Customer service minded. Professional appearance. Proficient in the use of computers. Be able to climb, bend over and pick up over 50 lbs. Regular exposure to woodworking machinery, dust, and industrial environments. Must live in Georgetown or surrounding areas. No relocation available.

Duties:

Plan, organize, and operate daily manufacturing of a hardwood lumber surfacing and straight lining mill. Ability to troubleshoot, perform or oversee basic machine repairs and maintenance as needed. (industrial planer, straightline saw and dust collection system). Tally and receive lumber, convert numbers from standard to metric and operate a moisture meter, calipers, and tape measure. Responsible for creating and keeping a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines. Lead production personnel. Exercises strong interpersonal skills. Manage inventory using DMSi/Agility software. Enter and complete work orders, receive material and confirm cost using computer software. Work proficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for shipping and receiving documents, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Receive and process warehouse stock products. (pick, unload, label, store) Organize stock within the warehouse by properly unboxing and storing material goods in their designated location. Preforms regular cycle counts, communicates inventory discrepancies and adjustment inventory in the system to keep inventory levels correct and up to date. Organize warehouse products/SKU's for optimization and smooth workflow. Advising management when stock and supply levels are low for timely reordering. Keep the warehouse clean daily and is safety conscious when preforming duties and guiding others.
