Manufacturing Equipment Operator
Job Description
About the Role As a Manufacturing Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in our production facility by ensuring that equipment runs at peak efficiency to meet high-volume output goals. You will be responsible for the hands-on management of industrial machinery, performing critical setups, and maintaining a safe, high-quality work environment. Responsibilities Monitor and operate production equipment to ensure continuous, high-quality output while adhering to strict manufacturing specifications. Execute machine setups and changeovers to prepare for production runs, ensuring all settings are optimized for performance. Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize operational reliability. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace by strictly following established safety protocols and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Conduct regular quality inspections using precision measurement tools to ensure products meet rigorous internal standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production targets and support continuous improvement initiatives. Actively participate in safety audits, hazard-prevention activities, and ongoing training to foster a culture of workplace excellence. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Proven ability to follow technical work instructions and safety procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment operation or troubleshooting. Physical capability to perform tasks including standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods. Basic proficiency in math and computer skills for production reporting and measurement. Preferred Skills Prior experience in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges. Certification or experience operating material-handling equipment like forklifts or hoists. Demonstrated commitment to quality control and minimizing production waste.
