Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various saw machines to cut and shape materials accurately according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operation, blueprint reading, and precision measurement will ensure the production of high-quality components. Duties Set up and operate different types of saw machines, including band saws, circular saws, and CNC saws, ensuring precise cuts aligned with production specifications Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting requirements and dimensions Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy of cut materials Maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment including CNC machining tools, press brake machines, stamping presses, and CAM programming systems Follow safety protocols and standards consistently while handling materials and operating machinery to prevent accidents Assist in material handling tasks using forklifts or other lifting equipment to move raw materials or finished parts safely within the shop floor Collaborate with team members on assembly line processes and ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for adherence to specifications Skills Strong understanding of CNC programming, CAM programming, and CNC machining processes Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting manufacturing drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Experience operating shop tools such as hand tools, tooling equipment, and fabrication machinery Mechanical knowledge related to factory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication and machining tasks Familiarity with industrial safety standards in production environments and proper use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience with a focus on quality control, materials handling, packaging, and assembly processes Join our team as a Saw Operator to bring your technical skills into a fast-paced manufacturing setting!
