South San Antonio, TX About the Opportunity HireWorks is hiring experienced Machine Operators for a leading automotive manufacturer in South San Antonio. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in manufacturing, machine operation, welding, metal or steel stamping, press operation, assembly, or automotive production. Metal stamping and welding experience are highly preferred, but candidates with solid hands-on manufacturing and machine operation experience are encouraged to apply. Earn a Biweekly Attendance Bonus! Shift Information Day Shift $16.00/hour

    Mandatory overtime Position Summary The Machine Operator works with metal and steel stamping presses, welding and robotic welding equipment, and other production machinery to manufacture automotive components.

This is a hands-on production position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Operate metal and steel stamping presses, welding equipment, robotic welding cells, and other production machinery

Set up and monitor stamping presses during production

Load and unload parts, materials, and production equipment

Load dies into presses and assist with die changes as assigned

Manually place parts into machines and remove finished components

Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards

Monitor machines and report equipment or quality concerns

Move conveyors and change production containers as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S practices

Follow all required safety procedures, quality standards, and PPE requirements

Perform additional manufacturing and production duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operator experience required

Strong hands-on experience operating manufacturing or industrial equipment

Metal stamping, steel stamping, press operator, welding, or robotic welding experience highly preferred

Automotive manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly experience is a plus

Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail

Ability to inspect parts and identify quality issues

Excellent attendance and reliability

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

Ability to work mandatory overtime and shifts lasting up to 12 hours

Proof of a valid driver's license and current auto insurance is required to access company property

Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings Work Environment Fast-paced automotive manufacturing and production facility

High noise levels from manufacturing equipment

Hot, cold, and humid working conditions

Extended periods of standing and physical activity
