The Saw Operator will be responsible for focusing on machine operation and product quality while assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed. This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay:
$19/hr
Schedule:
1st Shift (6am-3pm)
Responsibilities Bar Saw Operator Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following: Create and maintain a safe organized working environment. Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product. Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections. Load and unload product from the machinery for processing. Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy. Report product discrepancies to management. Actively communicate with teammates. Operate forklifts to relocate material. Other Operations tasks as assigned.
Bar Saw Operator Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made. 1-2 years of experience preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Strong attention to detail (critical skill). Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to communicate professionally with all departments, coworkers and management. Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary. Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required by the position. Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings. Ability to read a tape measure and calipers. Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds Standing, walking up to 10 hours Twisting, bending up to 10 hours Perform duties under pressure of deadlines Must be able to wear task-appropriate PPE Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines Strong attention to detail (critical skill) Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary Ability to work flexible hours as required Qualifications Joining Wieland's team gives you...
