Growth opportunities The Batcher works with the Production Shift Supervisor and Quality Technician to ensure production is on time and meets quality standards. The Batcher is responsible that the correct ingredients and correct quantities are used and formula followed to ensure the product meets quality standards. The Batcher is responsible for measuring quantities of material and recording lot numbers. The role is responsible to ensure that equipment is cleaned according to the sanitation procedures.
THE DETAILS
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with established policies and procedures. Follow all processes and procedures as instructed Weigh and measure ingredients while documenting quantities and lot numbers Understand written and verbal instructions to complete batching of products prior to starting a batch Verify that correct material, quantity and lot number being used match are accurate prior to being used for production Assemble and disassemble transfer lines and pumps as required for production and cleaning Follow recipe instructions with order of addition of ingredients, water temperature and mixing times. Document all required processing information such as quantities, lots, times, temperatures, etc. Perform sanitation as required following Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures, including cleaning equipment, tools and general housekeeping Identify any processing issues and report them to Shift Supervisor Pull material needed for production from the storage area Cross train in other work areas to be able to fill in for others if they are not present Work with other team members when not performing core batching duties
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred factory experience in food and/or beverage manufacturing Ability to use a scale to weigh materials Experience working with lot and material numbers Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
