Job Description
Blending Operator I- $20.25/hr. -7 AM- 7 PM Who we are looking for : We are currently looking for a Blending Operator based out of our Weatherford, TX plant. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Blend Operator's primary focus will be to blend raw materials into PVC compound based on specified formulas. What you'll do: Read and interpret the production schedule in order to evaluate upcoming compound blending and storage requirements. Accurately estimate compound needs to support extrusion while determining which silos or hoppers to route material for efficient production. Make adjustments to the blender controls and hoses to be certain that the proper blending for daily inventory reporting purposes. Safely operate forklifts to move material to and from blender area scales and the warehouse. The operator must ensure that the right quantities and correct materials are available for efficient blending. Communicate effectively with Maintenance, Production, Accounting, and Purchasing on a daily basis. Perform maintenance and cleanup for blending work and storage areas. Assist with monthly inventory of raw materials. Continually monitor raw material inventory and usage and provide timely input for raw material purchasing purposes. Wh at you'll bring: Minimum education high school diploma or equivalent. Extrusion experience or the ability to quickly learn PVC extrusion operations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A good understanding of basic math is required for quick and accurate counting and calculations. Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization. Mechanical aptitude is necessary for maintenance and troubleshooting in mechanical, control and conveyance systems. Must be able to work independently, safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
