Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Check specification of the product to be produced by reading and understanding production instructions and the production sequence report
  • Check quality of the product being produced through the use of a tape measure and visual inspection
  • Clean calendar rolls
  • Aid sandblasting of calendar rolls
  • Wrap calendar rolls and take off rolls with specified roll wrap when rolls are to be removed
  • Paint machinery and equipment as instructed by supervisor
  • Operate the crosscutter to cut the film into sheet instead of being wound on rolls as need by production
  • Maintain the integrity of the machinery by performing need operational preventative maintenance according to the TPM schedule
  • Write work order for needed maintenance items that cannot be accomplished by operations and through the use of the work order log
  • Promote the TQS through accurate, complete recording of specified operational conditions
  • Separate all scrap by color and grade
  • Maintain work area clean and orderly per the 5s program, this will include sweeping, mopping, wiping down machines, picking up trash and organize the area.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and comprehend written production instructions in the English language
  • Ability to read standard and metric measuring tape
  • Basic math skills and ability to use a hand calculator
  • Work rotating 12 hour shifts and overtime as required
Requirements:
  • Must be able to climb, ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, reach, push and pull
  • Must be able to lift 51-100 pounds
  • Able to work outside and inside environments
