Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Flat Laser Operators for projects located in or around Salt Lake, UT. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-$30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Set up and operate a flat laser cutting machine used to process steel Cut various steel thicknesses according to production requirements Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications Verify machine setup and material prior to production Monitor cutting quality and make appropriate adjustments when necessary Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality expectations Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance Identify worn components, consumables, or equipment concerns before they create production issues Maintain accurate production and equipment documentation Minimize scrap and material waste Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Assist with training and developing less-experienced laser operators Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other production employees Requirements 2+ years of recent experience operating a flat laser with steelExperience cutting multiple steel thicknesses Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and blueprints Ability to independently set up and operate a flat laser with minimal training Understanding of basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance Strong attention to cut quality, measurements, and finished-product specifications Ability and willingness to train newer operators Reliable attendance and ability to consistently work the scheduled night shift Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and productivity " Be Safe" from fraud!
