Full Job Description Schedule:
Monday through Thursday 3:00pm - 2:30am Overview This role supports production by preparing steel components through abrasive blasting and cutting raw material to size using horizontal and vertical band saws. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality of work, follows safety procedures, and works well in a fast-paced shop environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Operate steel shot blasting equipment to clean carbon steel components Set up and operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut material to specified lengths Read and interpret basic shop drawings, cut lists, and work orders Inspect parts for quality, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any issues Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use Assist other shop operations as needed ________________________________________ Knowledge and Experience Requirements Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred Experience with abrasive blasting and/or band saw operation is a plus Ability to safely handle steel material using cranes and forklifts Basic measuring skills (tape measure, calipers, etc.) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods ________________________________________ Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable attendance Strong work ethic Commitment to workplace safety Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced shop environment ________________________________________ Skills and Specifications Forklift and overhead crane experience Familiarity with structural steel fabrication Basic mechanical or maintenance skills ___________________________________________
