BPG-USA is currently seeking a Gatherer Operator to set-up, operate, and maintain gathering machine. Assist binder operator in directing pocket filling material handlers to work stations, keeping constant check on signature collation, and quality. In addition, closing out and preparing necessary components for jobs, cleans, and lubricating gatherer as needed. Job Responsibilities:

Read, understand, and prepare components according to job order instructions Communicate with truck drivers as to scheduling; component needs Communicate with material handling crew as to work stations Correct component handling procedures, etc. Communicate with binder operator on machine operation decisions, crew distribution, paperwork/reporting procedures, etc. Use simple tools in make-ready functions on gatherer Accurate counting ability in order to properly collate signatures for gathering Spot quality problems quickly. React according to troubleshooting needs on gatherer with calm maturity Work closely with moving machinery in safe manner Make ready 22 pocket loaders for size and bulk of signatures. Hand feed signatures when job is more than 22 pockets Performs other functions as directed by supervisor as required based on operational needs. Weekly Clean and lubricate gatherer/area and perform weekly p/m As Needed Assist in training new material handlers Assist binder operator with reporting duties We are the leading book printing service provider.
