Job Description
Sayre Enterprises, Inc. of Buena Vista, VA is hiring. Full time benefits include dental, medical, vision, life insurance, vacation, holidays, 401K and a temperature-controlled work environment. We offer 2 options for 1st shift: 4- 10 hour days, Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM OR 5- 8 hour days, Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM.

Embroidery Department Manager SUMMARY:
Embroidery machine operator is responsible for operating multi-head embroidery machines to embroider names, initials, or decorative designs on garments, material, or uniform accessories.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to see draw thread through guides, tensions, and needles and adjusts tensions, threads, and bobbins according to fabric type.
- Ability to hoop and center material to prepare for processing on embroidery machine.
- Ability to observe embroidery sewing operations to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notify supervisor of malfunction.
- Ability to inspect garments for defects or damage, repair defective embroidery or fills in blanks left by embroidery machine.
- Must be dependable and self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and communicate well with manager and team leaders.
- Ability to maintain speed and efficiency and be fully committed to excellent customer service.
- Ability to maintain department production demand numbers.
- Ability to accurately count and follow written directions
- Pay attention to the quality of both the starting product and the finished product
- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and have discernment for colors and detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
- General Computer skills preferred but not required
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Continually required to stand and walk (8-10 hours per day and up to 2-4 hours overtime as needed) Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually required to talk and hear and visually see.
