Job Description

FTG is a global corporation offering design, development, prototypes and manufacturing solutions for aerospace and defense electronic products and subsystems. With our technological strength and financial stability, FTG offers innovative engineered solutions, diverse manufacturing capabilities and product life-cycle support through our global footprint. We are currently hiring Manufacturing Operators for our Mid-Atlantic printed circuit board facility located in Fredericksburg, VA. We are considering a variety of experience levels to join our team. If you have experience or a high level of interest in operating equipment, an attention to detail and get excited about helping to build products that support some of the most demanding applications in the world, this opportunity could be for you.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate equipment consistent with established guidelines
  • Follow area operating procedures and traveler instructions
  • Ensure work produced meets the required quality level and specifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as applicable
  • Comfortable using computer system to obtain information and make accurate transactions
  • Keep work area and equipment clean
  • Perform operator preventative maintenance as trained and assigned
  • Follow facility safety protocol and company policies
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Consistent performer with outstanding dependability
  • Related experience such as operating CNC equipment, conveyorized process lines, batch tanks or imaging equipment is preferred but not required.
  • Able to communicate effectively with different levels of the organization
  • Ability and interest to learn new tasks and cross train
  • Works well independently and is also able to effectively communicate and collaborate with other manufacturing operators, supervisors, lab personnel and process engineers
Education and Experience:
  • Ability to read and write in English at a level to clearly understand area procedures and traveler instructions.
  • Printed circuit board, solar, plating facility, semiconductor, circuit board assembly or other manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Various levels of experience will be considered, multiple roles are available with flexible shift schedules.
