Job Description

Peg's Embroidery is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team. We are a busy contract embroidery shop in Midlothian producing decorated apparel for customers throughout the promotional products industry. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, enjoys working with their hands, and likes being part of a productive team. Embroidery experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person. What You'll Do Operate commercial multi-head embroidery machines Load and unload garments and products Hoop apparel accurately and consistently Set up jobs using the correct embroidery files, thread colors and placement Monitor machines while jobs are running Check embroidery quality throughout production Identify thread breaks, tension issues and other production problems Trim, clean and inspect finished embroidery as needed Keep your machine and work area clean and organized Follow job instructions and production procedures Help keep work moving efficiently through the shop Work with the production team to meet daily deadlines and quality standards We're Looking for Someone Who Is Dependable and consistently on time Detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Able to follow written and verbal instructions Comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday Willing to learn new equipment and processes Able to recognize when something doesn't look right and stop to correct it A team player with a positive attitude Someone who takes pride in producing quality work Experience That Transfers Well Previous experience in any of these areas can be helpful: Commercial embroidery Sewing or textiles Screen printing Apparel decoration Manufacturing Machine operation Printing Production or warehouse environments No embroidery experience?
