Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Machine Operator with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy construction machinery and commercial trucks to support excavation, grading, utility installation, and site development projects. Your expertise will ensure that equipment is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment to perform excavation, grading, and utility work on construction sites. Drive commercial trucks with CDL to transport materials, equipment, and personnel between job sites and storage facilities. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures. Utilize utility locating techniques to identify underground utilities before excavation activities begin, preventing damage and ensuring safety. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with construction site setup, including site grading, utility installation, and general construction utility work as needed. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with company policies. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and other related equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of construction machinery. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, utility work, grading, and general construction operations. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to equipment safety procedures. Ability to perform utility locating accurately using specialized tools and techniques. Excellent understanding of heavy equipment operation including loaders operation, backhoe operation, and excavator use. Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions for equipment maintenance. Prior experience working on construction sites involving excavation or utility installation is highly preferred. Join our team today! Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
