Job Description

Cadence Inc., located in Staunton, Virginia , is hiring a Machine Operator for the 1st Shift. The purpose of the Machine Operator position is to set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The ability to use computer-controlled equipment to select positions and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications. Machine Setup Machine Operation Quality Control Maintenance and Troubleshooting Record Keeping Safety Compliance Collaboration Efficiency Improvement Training Skills Adherence to Procedures Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for
Position:
Computer Skills Strong mathematical skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to navigate and operate applicable machines. Proven history of high-level measuring experience. Accurate input of data into production logs and electronic systems. Familiarity with quality control systems/software for recording and analyzing inspection data. Understanding and navigating electronic manuals or documentation. Physical Requirements Work often involves manipulating small parts and operating controls with precision. A good level of manual dexterity is essential for handling tools, adjusting machine settings, and placing and removing workpieces. Machines may require physical effort to set up, adjust, and operate. Operators may need to lift, position, or secure heavy workpieces, tools, or machine components. Work can be repetitive and may involve standing for long periods. Should have the stamina to sustain focus and perform tasks consistently throughout a shift.
