Role Overview As an Inserter & Imaging Operator , you will play a critical role in driving our direct mail production line. You will operate high-speed inserting machinery, run precision imaging setups, perform routine maintenance, and maintain strict quality standards to deliver high-volume, defect-free mailing products in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Setup, operate, and monitor high-speed inserting machinery (Flowmaster, Pinnacle, Stretch Arm) and associated imaging equipment to achieve optimal production speeds.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine mechanical adjustments, setup changes, and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime and preserve equipment longevity.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct rigorous, ongoing quality checks to ensure proper insert sequences, camera/imaging alignment, and adherence to strict job specifications.
Material Handling:
Safely load, move, and stage materials using forklifts and pallet jacks to keep production running seamlessly.
Compliance & Documentation:
Follow production standards (including CGMP guidelines where applicable) and maintain accurate batch records, machine settings, and logs.
Facility & Environment:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with facility standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience Equipment Experience:
Required experience operating Pinnacle or Stretch Arm Inserters (Flowmaster inserter experience is highly preferred) .
Technical Aptitude:
Strong mechanical background with proven troubleshooting skills on industrial manufacturing equipment.
Precision & Math:
Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying production metrics and job specifications.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with
GMP/CGMP
guidelines, FDA regulations, or regulated packaging environments is a strong plus.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift, push, pull material, stand for extended periods, and safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks). Why Join MDI?
