Suffolk About Us We take pride in processing and delivering top-tier peanut products to our clients across the country. From raw shelling and custom roasting to final packaging, quality and safety drive every step of our process. We are seeking a dependable Palletizer Operator to join our team in Suffolk to manage the final stage of our packaging line and ensure orders are built safely and accurately. Position Overview As a Palletizer Operator, you will be responsible for running and monitoring automated palletizing equipment, verifying case counts and box labels, securing pallets with stretch-wrap, and staging finished inventory for warehouse storage or outbound shipment. You will work closely with line laborers and production supervisors to maintain line speed and prevent bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:
Set up, run, and adjust automated or semi-automated palletizing machines and stretch-wrap units; troubleshoot and clear routine line jams.
Stacking & Staging:
Build, stack, and secure finished product pallets according to designated stacking patterns and weight limits.
Quality & Verification:
Inspect outgoing cases for proper lot codes, intact tape seals, and accurate label placement before palletizing.
Material Handling & Forklift:
Utilize manual/electric pallet jacks or sit-down forklifts to supply packaging materials (pallets, slip sheets, stretch-wrap) and transport finished pallets to warehouse bays.
Food Safety & Cleanliness:
Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), plant safety rules, and allergen control guidelines in a peanut processing facility.
Documentation:
Maintain shift logs tracking total pallet production, downtime, and material usage.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, food packaging, or warehouse facility (palletizing or machine operation preferred).
Forklift Experience:
Prior experience operating sit-down forklifts or electric pallet jacks is a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with digital control panels (HMI touchscreens).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently, bend, twist, and stand for long periods in a warm or dusty plant environment with peanut allergen exposure.
