Job Description

FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Summary P erforms moderately complex machining operations under supervision, including machine setup, operation, production monitoring, and inspection. Works from drawings, work orders, and instructions to produce quality parts while maintaining established safety, workmanship, and dimensional requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines and machining tools under supervision. Interpret basic engineering drawings, work orders, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions. Align fixtures, set cutting tools, load/unload parts, and operate equipment for new and repeat production runs. Monitor machine operation and production performance throughout assigned runs. Inspect parts using appropriate hand and precision inspection tools to verify dimensional and quality requirements. Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate machining, tooling, quality, or production issues to the Lead/Supervisor. Work with Programming and Engineering as directed to resolve production issues. Maintain equipment, tooling, work areas, and company assets in accordance with safety and quality requirements. May provide basic instruction to machine assistants or operators on machine operation, material handling, and inspection practices. May provide basic instruction to machine assistants or other operators as directed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of machining or related machine-operation experience . Basic ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow written and verbal work instructions. Experience setting fixtures, cutting tools, and operating/monitoring production equipment. Familiarity with CNC and/or manual equipment such as DMG MORI, HAAS, mills, lathes, routers, waterjets, saws, brake presses, shears, or similar equipment. Familiarity with Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Siemens, CELOS, Heidenhain, or similar machine controls preferred. Ability to use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision inspection equipment. Working knowledge of basic machining mathematics, trigonometry, and English/metric measurements and conversions. Basic Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook skills. Strong attention to quality, communication, teamwork, and basic problem-solving skills. Successful completion of required pre-employment background check and drug screening. Physical Demands, Travel & Work Environment Regularly requires extended standing, walking, use of hands, talking, hearing, and operation of production equipment. Occasional sitting, reaching, lifting, and bending are required. Close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are necessary. Domestic or international travel may occasionally be required for training or company business.
