Company Description:

Sound Cedar Lumber, a Cedar specialty store, was founded in 1980 in Downtown Conway. Over the years, it has moved a few times before moving to our present location at 2600 Cedardale Road in Mount Vernon. We have currently been at this location for over 20 years and love our spot right off I-5. At Sound Cedar Lumber, we carry more than just cedar products. We have over 22,000 sq ft of inventory consisting of composite decking, PT lumber, pre-fab fence panels, fiber cement siding, Big Green Eggs and more. Multiple trucks arrive daily delivering more inventory and customer-ordered products. Our yard is busy year-round with customers expecting quick, efficient and correct service both in the warehouse and the showroom.

Essential Duties:

• Operate forklift to pull lumber loads and load onto customer vehicles
• Assist customers as they arrive on-site
• Learn and quickly identify building materials sold at the store.
• Keep the yard a welcoming and clean environment.
• Load and unload material to and from the suppliers by forklift
• Stock material.
• Occasionally deliver material in company delivery truck
• Other duties as assigned.

The job will require full-time work Monday-Saturday , with a willingness to work overtime if needed. During the busy season (NOW) this is a fast-paced environment that requires our operations staff to know where every product in our 14,000 square foot warehouse and 8,000 square foot showroom is. Forklift certification is required and knowledge of building materials is highly encouraged.
