JOB SUMMARY
A technician with previous experience building complex equipment and tooling assemblies, basic knowledge of the components utilized for assembly of fixtures, the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, bills of material, and system schematics. The ability to operate hand tools and basic machine tools and must understand standard assembly practices
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembles various sized components includes safety markings, stenciling and following the drawing specifications. Inspects parts for quality. Detects and reports defective materials to supervisor. Conducts machine operation and safety checks on prescribed intervals. Performs general clean-up and organization of work area Other duties as assigned to maintain production
REQUIREMENTS
Basic knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and accuracy. Ability to read and understand general procedure manuals. Physical condition of the candidate should allow them to perform manual labor and tasks for up to 8 hours during the day if required. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and some basic electronics is a plus. Mechanical or technical schooling is preferred. 3 years or more of maintenance or service experience on mechanical evaluations and repairs preferred. Fabrication and or general welding would be a plus.
