Responsibilities:
Must understand all functions of equipment needed to produce the product (rectifiers, pumps, chillers, etc.) Sets up and operates machine to coat products with chrome plating. Presses or turns controls to activate and set equipment operation according to specifications. Turns valves and adjusts controls to regulate speed of conveyor, temperature, air pressure and circulation, and flow or spray of coating. Maintains current pH levels and solution levels in all tanks that require it. Analyze and make necessary adds to all tanks when required. Advise supervisor if non-conforming tanks are found. Mixes and tests plating solution to specified formula and turns valves to fill tank with solution. Weighs or measures chemicals and adds to tanks. Adjusts controls to set temperatures of coating substances and speed of machines and equipment. Examines completed objects to determine thicknesses of deposits, or measure thicknesses by using instruments such as micrometers. Inspects plated areas for defects such as air bubbles or uneven coverage. Performs equipment maintenance such as cleaning tanks and lubricating moving parts of conveyors. Repairing and modifying CPVC piping Operate forklift as needed. Assist machine operators and welders with moving materials and preparing materials for production. All other tasks as necessary. Replace Contacts and Anodes as needed. Climbing up and down ladders as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods. Ability to determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Demonstrate a positive attitude, be able to work in a team environment, be respectful to all members of the organization and display effective communication skills.
Required Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent. Minimum 1 year of factory related experience. Physical Conditions/Working Environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Must be able to sit or stand, bend and move about the facility. Must obtain medical clearance to wear a respirator Must be able to lift items overhead. Manufacturing and chemical environment.
