If you have experience operating laser cutting equipment, great—we'd love to talk with you. No laser experience? That's okay. If you have strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with measurements, we're willing to train the right person. You'll operate modern, enclosed laser cutting systems to produce high-quality, custom sheet metal parts. This is a great opportunity to build your manufacturing skills while working with advanced equipment in a team-oriented environment. What We Offer Full-time, steady Monday-Friday 1st shift Flexible 1st shift start time between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM 4-day 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, 2:30 PM-1:00 AM Opportunity to learn and grow your manufacturing skills Training available for candidates with the right mechanical and technical aptitude Work with modern, enclosed laser cutting technology Build skills in laser cutting, fabrication, blueprint reading, quality control, and machine operation What You'll Do Operate laser cutting equipment to produce precise sheet metal components Load materials and monitor machines during production Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and calibration Monitor equipment and perform minor troubleshooting when needed Keep machines and work areas clean and organized Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards Work with teammates to keep production running efficiently Help identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, and processes What We're Looking For Experience is preferred, but training is available. We're looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
Ideal candidates will have:
Previous experience operating a laser cutter or other CNC/manufacturing equipment Experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing is a plus Ability to read and understand blueprints or technical drawings Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software and equipment Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work efficiently while meeting production deadlines A strong commitment to workplace safety Dependability and a willingness to learn About American Custom Metal Fabricating Founded in 2008 , American Custom Metal Fabricating is a growing metal fabrication and manufacturing company focused on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service .
