American Custom Metal Fabricating is looking for a Tube Laser Operator to join our team and help produce high-quality, custom metal components using advanced tube laser technology. Have tube laser experience? Great—we want to talk to you. No tube laser experience? That's okay! If you're mechanically inclined, comfortable working with computers and measurements, and have a strong work ethic, we're willing to train the right person. Full-time, steady work Training available for the right candidate Work with advanced tube laser technology Opportunity to expand your manufacturing and technical skills Be part of a hands-on, team-oriented environment Work on custom parts and projects , rather than repetitive high-volume production Opportunity to grow your skills and take on additional responsibilities Join an established company that has been in business since 2008 What You'll Do As a Tube Laser Operator, you'll help keep our production team running efficiently by setting up and operating laser equipment, monitoring production, and making sure finished parts meet our quality standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Set up, operate, and monitor tube laser cutting equipment Load and handle materials safely and efficiently Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications Verify dimensions and inspect finished parts for quality Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production Perform basic troubleshooting and routine equipment maintenance Assist with machine setup, calibration, and material handling Work with teammates to improve workflow, quality, and production efficiency Keep your work area and equipment clean and organized Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards Help meet daily production goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality What We're Looking For Experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person. You may be a great fit if you have: Previous tube laser, laser cutting, CNC, or similar manufacturing experience Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in how machines work Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations Ability to learn computer-controlled equipment and manufacturing software Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to stay organized and work efficiently to meet production deadlines Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Commitment to working safely and following established procedures Manufacturing, structural steel, tube fabrication, or sheet metal experience is a plus.
